Jupiter Verify
Jupiter Verify is a set of token verification standards that we are designing to give the community a lot more certainty about new tokens, while giving projects and their communities the ability to add more confidence to their token.
This is our 3rd major revision of a token list standard (we have been working on this for 3 years), and is our first attempt at creating clearly defined standards.
Verification is an extremely important but nuanced topic, so we would like to do this alongside everyone. While no verification mechanisms can be fool proof, we believe that a clear, transparent verification system will do a lot to help the space gain momentum on good coins.
We will roll out this new system incrementally over the next few months, and want to work with you to get it right.
Verification Types
Blue Chip
This is for tokens which have stood the test of time and gained good recognition in the ecosystem.
Criteria: Tokens in this category need to sustain at least 100M market cap for a month.
Process: Tokens that match this criteria will be reviewed and manually added or dropped.
Examples: USDC, JUP, SOL, WIF
Community Assisted
This is for new and upcoming tokens that have clear market and community traction.
Criteria: For most coins, there will be a minimum bar from a combination of market cap, liquidity, volume, organic score and CT smart likes. Coins with a strong product and sufficient ecosystem recognition who missed the thresholds may also be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We also want to incorporate community lore and notes in later iterations, as we understand metrics are not everything when it comes to volatile new coins.
Process: Tokens that have passed the thresholds will be eligible to be manually approved. We will verify a max of 1- 3 strong community tokens a day depending on market conditions from the ones that bubble to the top of the list.
Note: The current catdetlist site will be deprecated -- there is no longer a need for projects to submit applications. While we are iterating on the exact thresholds, the best way to help your token get verified in the meantime is to work on your community lore and CT likes on your token page.
Projects can verify ownership of their social account, and submit a mint address to link the two.
Criteria: Only well-known accounts such as those from celebrities or established organizations will qualify.
Process: Accounts can login to confirm ownership of their socials before a token launch. When the token is launched, they can then submit a mint address to establish that this token is indeed from the account. Please note that any address submitted may be immediately linked and displayed, so please do not give us anything until you are ready for it to be public.
C.A.T Prelaunch Report
Uncertainty about supply, a lack of long-term alignment with stakeholders, and a lack of transparency are some of the biggest fud factors for a launch.
We are iterating on a manual for best-in-class token practices and will work with projects to review and publish a report on their set-up before a launch.
Note: This is an extremely early beta effort, and we are looking for both feedback on what might be useful as well as projects who are interested in experimenting with us.
Help us get this right!
